3 Things I’m Thankful For

Yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving and I had a truly relaxing and fun few days off. It’s hard as somewhat of a workaholic to take time off, but thankfully I’m getting better and better at it. For the past four days I worked out every morning, read a book and a half, and watched lots of A Chef’s Life, an amazing reality show about a North Carolina-based chef that you totally have to check out if you haven’t already seen it.

In honour of that pumpkin pie and turkey holiday, today I’m sharing 3 things that I’m thankful for.

1.) Health

Of course, health is always at the top of the list, especially when there have been times when you’ve been super sick pretty much 24/7 and never thought that would ever end. I’m thankful that I don’t get colds as often as I used to — now it’s just a few times a year — and that I feel really happy and healthy on a regular basis. I’m thankful for having energy to get through barre classes, to do work that I love, and to spend time with the people that I care about.

2.) Inspiration

I’m thankful for all the inspiration and motivation that I see around me, from the bloggers who are sharing their thoughts and delicious recipes and their own health stories, to the TV shows that inspire me, to anyone and everywhere is following their dreams and going after their goals on a daily basis. It’s nice to know that so many of us are trying to be better and healthier every single day and that we’re so determined to be happy.

3.) The Little Things

It may sound super cheesy but hey, I’m just going to go with it. Every day I’m thankful for the little things. This could be a creative Instagram post, a steaming hot cup of coffee, the story I’m currently working on, grabbing a glass of red wine with a good friend, curling up at the end of a long day with my fave shows. That popular saying that the little things often become the big things when you look back is totally and completely true.
