My Favourite Blogging Resources

I’m a new blogger and this is only my fourth month chatting about healthy food, lifestyle topics and pop culture in this virtual space. But I’ve already learned some amazing lessons along the way, connected with so many awesome people, and most of all, figured out the things and resources that have inspired me, given me a kick in the butt to get going, and most of all, taught me a ton. Here are 5 of my favourite blogging resources.

1.) The Food Entrepreneur Summit

Nicole Culver’s Food Entrepreneur Summit is absolutely amazing. I shared my own experience a few blog posts back, and I honestly couldn’t recommend this more. Thankfully, it’s now being offered as a course that you can take at your own leisure. You’ll have access to masterclass videos from so many bloggers and businesswomen at the top of their game, and you’ll learn how to use your time wisely, get inspired when you’re feeling like you’re not good enough, and why you absolutely can create a life that you love… and a career that you adore, too.

If you sign up through this link, you get 20% off using the coupon code “SUMMER” until July 20th.

2.) Minimalist Baker Food Photography School

This online course is made up of tons and tons and tons of videos dealing with every single thing you would want to know about food photography, from colour theory to styling to backgrounds to camera settings and more. It was extremely helpful to me since before I picked up a Canon camera to start this blog, I had only ever used my iPhone camera.

3.) Scrumptious And Styled By Caroline Potter

Caroline Potter blogs over at Colorfuleatsnutrition.com and published an absolutely beautiful cookbook, The All-American Paleo Table. Her ebook is all about the ins and outs of photography, and I love it because it’s not only technical but pretty magical and inspiring, too. Caroline is so, so talented and she really wants you to find your style and get comfortable behind the camera.

4.) Podcasts

I’ve recently become super obsessed with podcasts. I get so much inspiration, motivation and great ideas from them. My faves are Balanced Bites, Blissful Bites, the Nourishing Buzz, the Fed and Fit Podcast, and Happier. Each of these podcasts is all about living a healthy, happy lifestyle in its own way. The majority of them are by bloggers who talk about all the things that I and so many people think about on a daily basis, from finding a life and work that you love, learning to deal with stress, get inspired when you’re in a rut, and thrive on good food and exercise.

5.) Coschedule

This blogging tool has absolutely saved my life. If you’re a bit of an organizational nerd like me (no shame in this game!) then you will love it, too. But I’m not going to give too much away now! I’m devoting an entire blog post to the ins and outs of Coschedule on Monday July 25th, so be sure to check back then.

* DISCLOSURE: If you sign up for the Summit using the above link, I may receive a small commission. I totally believe in the value of the Summit and that’s why I’m supporting it.

What tools or tricks of the trade have saved your own blogging life? What inspires you?

  1. I’m excited for the coschedule post because I am totally an organizational nerd, haha! And I’m going to check out that #3 photography book; I always love learning about new blogging tools. Some that I’ve just started using recently that I really like are Canva (to create graphics) and GIMP to edit photos (because it’s freeee!) 😀
