Raspberry Herb Oatmeal

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be berries.

Okay, so that’s not exactly super practical, and I would definitely miss my food favourites like oatmeal and avocado and nut butter (aka the food celebs of the Instagram world).

But I really, really love berries. So that’s where this recipe comes from.

My Raspberry Herb Oatmeal is the perfect sweet/savoury/tart combination. It will wake up both you and your tastebuds and make you really happy.

And that’s a promise.

I used parsley but you could use any herb that you want. I bet basil, mint rosemary or thyme would be really good, too.

This oatmeal is the epitome of my favourite way to cook: with fresh, simple foods, not a whole lot of steps, and with powerhouse ingredients that make a real statement but don’t overpower each other. I don’t have time for fancy, complicated and time-consuming recipes and I bet you don’t, either! Life is hard and busy enough. Cooking should be fun and simple and healthy.

It can be easy to get into a rut in anything in life. You have the same daily routine, watch the same TV shows, eat the same foods. So changing up your oatmeal can be a great way to switch up something in your everyday life. It may seem tiny but I’m a big believer in small changes. After all, if something isn’t totally manageable, you’re not going to do it.

Have you tried fruit and herbs together? What’s your fave way to enjoy oatmeal?

    1. Thanks so much Allie!

  1. I LOVE herbs and berries combined! Strawberry basil is another one of my favorites, and I was reading a recipe for a blueberry sage pie on a blog the other week. There are so many possibilities; I’d never considered parsley though! This looks like it’d be super refreshing! 🙂
