It’s officially winter, it’s officially the holiday season, and Gilmore Girls is officially on Netflix.
Yup. Just had to get that in there.
This blog is officially a spoiler-free zone because a.) I hate spoilers and b.) I have been spoiled way too many times. I have never seen a Pretty Little Liars midseason or season finale without finding out what happened on Twitter before getting a chance to watch the episode. Oops.
Today I’m sharing my Snowy Day Oatmeal which seems pretty appropriate these days. We got our first snowfall in Toronto last Sunday. I texted a friend and said this was totally fine because since it was Gilmore Girls week last week, we clearly got our first snow because Lorelai Gilmore would be so excited about it. I stand by that. Snow? No problem.
At least, it’s not a problem when you can enjoy this Snowy Day Oatmeal. Because oatmeal is always a good idea.
This recipe has got almond milk, coconut butter, and hemp seeds. It’s full of healthy fats and will get your morning started off on the right foot.
- ½ cup gluten-free oats
- ¾ cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp coconut butter
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- Put your oats, coconut milk and coconut butter into a bowl. Microwave for two minutes.
- Alternatively, you can cook your ingredients on the stovetop and heat on medium until creamy.
- Serve with the hemp seeds. Enjoy while looking at the beautiful snow out your window.
