#throwbackthursday: My Christmas Memories

Christmas is nothing if not a journey down memory lane. It’s a super nostalgic time of year and it’s pretty much impossible not to reflect. You think about the past year, what you’ve accomplished, the good times you’ve had, the laughter and cups of coffee… Okay, now I’m just thinking about that Rent song.

Today I’m sharing my Christmas memories. Here are a few of the things that mean Christmas to me, whether they are old family traditions or newer ones.

Terry’s chocolate oranges.

Our tiny fake Christmas tree that we still have. Originally, it was taller than I am, and now that’s definitely not the case. It’s still nostalgic and fun to decorate.

Home Alone and the sequel.

Jingle All The Way.

That magical feeling that thankfully never goes away.

Cheesy holiday made-for-tv movies. I watch these like they are going out of style and my PVR is super full in November and December.

Family time.

Anticipation. You just knew that something amazing was going to happen.

The joy and excitement of the season. Christmas may come every year, but it never gets any less magical, and for that I am super thankful.

What are your Christmas memories?
